One of mine and Jared's favorite things to do is eat... Call us crazy I know. At our cooking class last month, we learned how to make Pumpkin Tortelli. We really must be crazy because that's what we decided to cook this weekend. It took 2 and a half hours to make...lots. of. work. Bear made the dough and I stuffed all the little tortellis with pumpkin filling. No wonder Italians love siestas. I needed a nap as soon as we were done! We also made bruschetta and had the lemonade I gave Bear for Valentine's. YUM!
Jear-Bear loves beignets ever since he went to New Orleans, so on Satuday we went to the
Farmer's Market and got beignets. I'd never had them before and they're pretty good! It also helps that they're drenched in powerdered sugar too. We also had the BEST crepes ever! Sooo good. They were having a biig Mardi Graw celebration so the place was really crowded. We picked a good day to get beignets! I love the Farmer's Market. We also went to Barnes and Noble and picked up some books too. Well, okay, I got books. I'm reading Blink by Malcom Gladswell. It talked about art for the first part of it, so naturally I was hooked.
Also, I made dinner for me and Bear last night. The first dinner I've made all by myself! I made chicken cordon bleu, crescent rolls, and salad. And it was delicious! Hooray!
What a delicious weekend!
