Never Never

Things I Hated as a Kid and Still Do:

1. Doing the dishes.
All the water gets all cold and gray and reminds me of the saying "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water."  Which is both creepy and fascinating at the same time.

2.  Making my bed.
If you had as many pillows as I do, you would hate it too.

3.  Fish
Disgusting.  And, it looks at you. Plus, I killed my goldfish in 4th grade because they were boring.

4.  Socks
They feel so weird.  And stuffy.

5.  Most types of pets
I also have killed the following:  a gerbil. a bird.

6.  Math
Ever since I couldn't figure out the right color in the Arithmetic Color by Numbers in second grade, I've hated all things numerical.  I can pick my own colors, thanks very much.

Things I Loved as a Kid and Still Do;

1. Shoes
Yes, I will take all of shoes with me in my stroller.  Yes, I will try to pack 10 pairs for a 5 day trip.

2.  Reading
My fourth grade teacher told me I needed to read less.  This is the class in which I killed the class gerbil.

3. Writing
I chose to write and read at recess, don't judge me.  I'd still rather write or read than do anything else nowadays too.

4.  Bears
I had a bear I loved named Fred Bear.  Then Maddie flushed it down the toilet.  My love still remains, but I guard my Bears more closely now.

5.  Talking to myself.
No, I wasn't talking to myself. I was talking to yooou.

You're funny. I don't like fish either. They're so boring, what's the point?
