Call me crazy, but I had no idea a CV and a Resume were two different things. I've heard of a CV before because, hello, I read books by Irish and British authors (love you Cecelia Ahern and Sophie Kinsella).
However, I just assumed that CV was a.k.a. resume. Little did I know, the CV is not just a British thing. Thanks for teaching me something to day Huntington Library. What are the basic differences you might ask? I asked my best friend Google and he directed me to the following:
"Answer: The primary differences between a resume and a curriculum vitae (CV) are the length, what is included and what each is used for. A resume is a one or two page summary of your skills, experience and education. While a resume is brief and concise - no more than a page or two, a Curriculum Vitae is a longer (at least two page) and more detailed synopsis."
So basically, a resume is what you tell your parents happened over spring break and a CV is what you tell your best friend. Much more elaborate and detailed...and...EXCITING.
problem solved.
